Established in 1948 as local tool & die shop, Arland Tool & Manufacturing is now a state-of-the-art contract manufacturer serving international clients in the power generation, compressor, oil/gas and military sectors. From its manufacturing facilities in Sturbridge and West Brookfield, Arland provides advanced engineering, machining and manufacturing services from prototyping to full production.
New Class A Office Building & Five Manufacturing Additions
As the construction partner of choice for Arland Tool & Manufacturing since 1989, we were pleased to design and build this Class A three-story office building on a high-profile parcel the company owns in Sturbridge near the busy junction of Interstate 84, Route 20 and the Massachusetts Turnpike. This building was the sixth we have constructed for Arland.
In this project, the masonry and glass design offers a modern, yet classic, look for a gateway to the community of Sturbridge. The building was designed to meet the needs of medical and corporate tenants. It is now the home of Harrington Hospital’s Sturbridge Outpatient Clinic and other corporate and medical offices.
Working with Arland for decades, we’ve built large high-bay manufacturing buildings that carry multiple 10-20 ton bridge cranes; solved environmental challenges, including stabilizing soils to allow for heavy construction; renovated and adapted a Civil War era production building for use as corporate offices and employee amenities including a cafeteria and locker rooms.
