Heritage
Founded in 1976, RP Masiello is a privately held design/build construction management firm based in Central Massachusetts. Our history reaches back to Frank J. Masiello, who immigrated to the United States from Italy in 1903. He settled in Worcester and became a master stone mason.
Among Frank’s most enduring projects is the famed 12th Century Chapter House, now in the Worcester Art Museum. The Chapter House was disassembled and shipped from France in 1927. Frank was one of two stone masons selected to rebuild the structure, block by block, with exacting precision.
Generations of the Masiello family have followed in Frank’s footsteps, working in the design and construction trades, committed to quality in all they do.
RP Masiello was founded by Frank’s son Ralph and is now led by his grandson David, who began working in 1974 as a laborer and masonry tender. Under David’s leadership since 1989, the company has grown significantly, building a team of talented construction professionals who work with clients at every step of the way, from planning, permitting and design, through estimation, procurement, and project management.
Our company is not a “briefcase” contractor; we still self-perform much of the work. We also curate relationships with subcontractors who are the best in their craft to complete each project. To date, we have completed over 250 new buildings, and more than 1,000 projects in total, spanning 15 million square feet of commercial and industrial space, from Maine to Pennsylvania.
